CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> RESOLUTION NO. 2015—93 <br /> By: Mayor Kennedy <br /> A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br /> CONTRACT MODIFICATION WITH ALADTEC, INC. TO PROVIDE <br /> HARDWARE, SOFTWARE, MAINTENANCE AND TRAINING FOR A <br /> WORKFORCE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM CONSISTING OF AN <br /> EMPLOYEE TIME, ATTENDANCE AND SCHEDULING PROGRAM, AND <br /> DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,AS AMENDED. <br /> WHEREAS, to gain efficiency and effectiveness in the management of employees, the <br /> City Administration desires to automate scheduling, time and attendance tracking processes, <br /> thereby allowing such information to be converted into payroll processes electronically; and <br /> WHEREAS, in the selection of Aladtec Inc. the Administration created a review team <br /> consisting of the Director of Safety, Director of Human Resources, Director of Finance, Assistant <br /> Director of Finance, the Chief of Police and the Chief of Fire; and <br /> WHEREAS, after reviewing four (4) systems and participating in demonstrations of the <br /> same with vendors,the committee unanimously recommended Aladtec, Inc.; and <br /> WHEREAS, Aladtec, Inc.'s scheduling module is currently in use in the Division of Fire <br /> and has been well received in all respects, including software support; and <br /> WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br /> into art amended a contract with Aladtec, Inc. to provide scheduling, time and attendance <br /> tracking software across the City of North Olmsted. <br /> NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA,AND STATE OF OHIO: <br /> SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he hereby is authorized to enter into a contract <br /> with Aladtec, Inc. to provide hardware, software, maintenance and training for a workforce <br /> management system consisting of employee time, attendance and scheduling capabilities. The <br /> proposal is attached hereto as Exhibit A. The amended contract shall be approved by the <br /> Director of Law. <br /> SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br /> immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br /> for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order for the <br /> program to be implemented prior to January 1, 2016, and further provided it receives the <br />
