CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br /> ORDINANCE NO. 2015— 111 <br /> BY: Council Member Schumann <br /> AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL <br /> FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ALTER <br /> LEFT TURN RESTRICTIONS ONTO BUTTERNUT RIDGE <br /> ROAD AT REVERE DRIVE IN THE CITY OF NORTH <br /> OLMSTED,AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety, due to the <br /> relocation of the North Olmsted Middle School, to remove and/or amend a "No Turn" sign on <br /> Revere Drive at Butternut Ridge Rd. in accordance with ODOT specifications and, necessarily, <br /> to amend the Traffic Control File accordingly; and <br /> WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the maintenance of the Traffic <br /> Control File, which files can be amended only by ordinance duly adopted by this Council. <br /> NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br /> NORTH OLMSTED, CUYAHOGA COUNTY,AND THE STATE OF OHIO: <br /> SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized and <br /> directed to amend the Traffic Control File of the City of North Olmsted to duly reflect removal <br /> and replacement of the following signs at Revere Drive and Butternut Ridge Road, for traffic <br /> proceeding north on Revere Drive. <br /> The current sign reads "No left turn except buses on school days 7 a.m-9 a.m." It shall be <br /> removed. <br /> The replacement sign to be installed shall read "No left turn except buses on school days <br /> 7 a.m. - 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. to 4:00 p.m." <br /> SECTION 2: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to cause <br /> the removal and simultaneous replacement of turning lane signage and other markings, as <br /> appropriate and consistent with ODOT specifications, at the location so described. <br /> SECTION 3. That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br /> immediately necessary for the public health, safety and welfare and for the further reason that it <br /> is necessary to promptly correct traffic flow interruptions; and further provided it receives the <br /> affirmative vote of two thirds of the members of council, it shall take effect upon its approval by <br /> the Mayor. <br />
