CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 5 By: Mayor Kennedy A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONCRETE REPLACEMENT AND RELATED REPAIRS UPON CITY STREETS, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE ENGINEER, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the City is in need of concrete replacement services for various streets within the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, the City will utilize such concrete replacement to further complete roadway rehabilitation as detailed in the annually updated comprehensive street repair list; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to undertake concrete replacement and related repairs on various City streets, as set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a contract for concrete replacement and related street, sewer and/or curbing repairs upon City streets, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. PASSED:,-.
