CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2016 — 6 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC SERVICE <br />TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO <br />PROVIDE CRACKSEALING ON VARIOUS STREETS AT VARIOUS <br />LOCATIONS IN THE CITY, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON <br />FILE IN THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT, AND AUTHORIZING THE <br />MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the bid specifications for cracksealing of various City streets, as prepared by <br />the City Engineer, are on file with the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Public Service to <br />advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City, and to further authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder, after Board of Control approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Safety be and he is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for cracksealing on various streets in the City of North Olmsted according to <br />plans and specifications on file and that the Mayor further is hereby authorized, upon approval of <br />the Board of Control, to enter into such a contract and execute the same with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor <br />PASSED: 1&.(t / t 'qvl 't'- <br />ATTEST.• <br />MARIE GALLO <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: <br />Second Reading: (� i <br />Third Reading: t <br />Committee.
