CITY OF NORTH OLFISTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82 - 170 <br />BY : A , C(/ A? <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS <br />($10,000.00) FROM THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS TO <br />IMPROVE THE PARKING AREA AT THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER BY LIGHTING, <br />SIGNING AND STRIPING AND TO DESIGNATE HANDICAPPED PARKING AT VARIOUS <br />CITY-OWNED FACILITIES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires to improve the parking area by <br />lighting, signing and striping and to designate handicapped parking at various <br />City-owned facilities, and <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of this Council that an additional <br />Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) will be provided to the City to improve the <br />parking facility at the Senior Citizens Center by lighting, signing and striping, <br />this sum in addition to the funds heretofore appropriated, and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council has applied for and received approval to <br />use Community Development Block Grant Funds, and <br />WHEREAS, the State Auditor has determined that the sum of all funds for <br />a project, including Federal Funds, must be appropriated by Council before <br />certification by the Finance Director. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council herPby appropriates the additional sum of <br />Ten Thousand Dollars ($10,000.00) from the Community Development Block Grant <br />Funds for the engineering design and construction to improve the parking area <br />at the Senior Citizens Center by lighting, signing and striping. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby authorized <br />to forward an attested copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor of Cuyahoga County. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency <br />measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health, safety <br />and welfare, and for the further reason that it is immediately necessar,y to <br />appropriate these funds and begin the project during favorable weather, and <br />further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: / <br />ATTEST: <br />Florence E.
