CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82 - 13 <br />BY: <br />AN ORDINANCE RATIFYING AND CONFIRMING THE <br />ENTERING INTO OF A LEASE BY THE 14AYOR WITH <br />ABKO PROPERTIES, INC. AND CHRYSLER CORPCIRATION <br />FOR THE TET1.PORARY LEASE OF SPACE FOR BUS <br />REPAIR FACILITIES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, <br />WHEREAS, Due to a fire which destroyed the Bus Line maintenance <br />facilities, it was necessary to take emergency measures for the <br />temporary lease of property to continue the operation of the North <br />Olmsted Municipal Bus Line, and <br />WHEREAS, Through the cooperation of Chrysler Corporation and its <br />real estate division, ABKO Properties, Inc., the City was able to <br />enter into a short term lease for the property known as the former <br />Glavic Chrysler-Plymouth Dealership located at 28500 Lorain Road, <br />North Olmsted, Ohio, and <br />WHEREAS, the Lease Agreement was negotiated and entered into on <br />February 9, 1982 to meet the emergency crisis situation, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to ratify and confirm <br />the emergency action taken by the Mayor, <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH <br />OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That this Council does hereby ratify and confirm the <br />Lease Agreement entered into by and between the City of North Olmsted <br />and Abco Properties, Inc., dated February 9, 1982, for a monthly rental <br />of Five Thousand Dollars ($5,000.00) plus taxes and insurance, all of <br />the terms and conditions of which are more fully set out in Exhibit <br />"A" which is attached hereto and made a part hereof as though fully <br />rewritten herein. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby determined to be an emergency <br />measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public peace, <br />health and safety of the City of North Olmsted, and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to lease the subject property <br />so that the efficient operation of the North Olmsted Municipal Bus <br />Line can continue, and further provided it receives the affirmative <br />vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take <br />effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by <br />the Mayor. <br />PASSED : .& <br />ATTEST: <br />4% <br />orence E.
