CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82-26 <br />BY: DEAN McKAY <br />AN ORDINANGE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED TO ENTER INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH <br />RICHARD MONGELLO, ARCHITECT, FOR THE PUFPOSE OF <br />DRAWING SCHEMATIC DESIGN AND DESIGN DEVELOPMENT <br />PLANS FOR;.THt PROPOSED CONSTRUCTION OF A BUS GARAGE <br />AND SERVICE GARAGE FACILITY, TOGETHER WITH'PREPARING <br />SCHEMATIC DESIGN FOR PHASE II PROJECT, THAT BEING AN <br />ADMINISTRATION BUILDING. <br />iNHEREAS, due to the loss of the North Olmsted Bus Line <br />garage facilities it has become necessary to plan for the con- <br />struction of a new garage, and <br />WHEREAS, for a number of years it has been the desire of <br />not only this Council, but the Administration, to remove the <br />service garage from the North Olmsted Municipal Park, and <br />WHEREAS, it has further been proposed on a long range <br />basis to plan for the construction of a Municipal Office Building, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to make provisions <br />for studying and possibly developing all three projects at one time, <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to hire the <br />services of Richard Mongello, Architect, for the purpose of <br />reviewing all three projects. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />and directed to enter into an agreement with Richard Mongello, <br />Architect, for the purpose of prepar'_ingschematic drawings and <br />designs, as well as designed development plans for the project <br />known as Phase I, iiamely, the construction of a bus garage facility <br />and service garage facility, and to further prepare schematic design <br />plans for Phase II, which project shall be known as.Administration <br />Building. The aforesaid agreement, together with tlie periodic <br />payment is specified more fully in Exhibit "A", which is attached <br />hereto and made a part hereof. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />public health, safety, and welfare, and for the further reason that <br />it is immediately necessary to prepare and plan for the construction <br />of a bus garage facility within the next two months so that the <br />project may be completed within six (6) months upon the termination <br />of a temporary lease arrangement that was heretofore entered into, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds <br />of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in <br />force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
