CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82-31 <br />BY: JAMES LOGAN <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL 14AP AND <br />FILE OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED BY PROVIDING FOR <br />THE INSTALLATION AND MAINTENANCE OF A"NO RIGHT TURN <br />ON RED" SIGN AT THE INTERSECTION OF GREAT NORTHERN <br />BOULEVARD AND LORAIN ROAD, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, after a review of the various minutes of Council <br />meetings in 1977, it has been established that the prohibition <br />of "Right Hand Turn on Red" at Great Northern Boulevard and Lorain <br />Road was approved first, on a temporary basis, and then on a <br />permanent basis, but was done by motion, and <br />WHEREAS, the Council deems it more appropriate to amend <br />the Traffic Control Map and File of the City, which said Map <br />and File can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same <br />is hereby au-? orized and directed to amend the Traffic Control <br />Nlap and File of the City of North Olmsted, and to indicate thereon <br />the installation of a"No Right Turn on Red" sign at the inter- <br />section of Great Northern Boulevard and Lorain Road, controlling <br />traf£ic traveling in a northerly direction on Great Northern <br />Boulevard desiring to make a right hand turn at Lorain Road. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation <br />of the public health, safety and welfare and for the further <br />reason that it is immediately necessary to correct the Control <br />Map and File of the City of North Olmsted to reflect that the same <br />was amended by ordinance, rather than motion, and further provided <br />it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all the members <br />elected to Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately <br />upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: /p?•2,? <br />ATTEST: <br />A ROV . w,?-?.
