<br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDIPdANCE N0. 82 - 48 <br />BY : DEAfJ MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER <br />INTO AN AGREEMENT WITH THE NORTH OLMSTED BOARD <br />OF EDUCATION WITH RESPECT TO THE USE OF SCHOOL <br />BUSES FOR THE CITY SUP-IMER RECREATION PROGRAM, <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Recreation Commission <br />together with the Safety Department that the Summer Recreation <br />Program can be expanded and streamlined by the use of bus trans- <br />portation transporting participants in the program to a central <br />location, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Mayor to enter into a contract with the North Olmsted Board of <br />Education for the purpose of using said school buses for the <br />Summer Recreation Program. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized <br />to enter into an agreement with the North Olmsted Board of Education <br />for the use of school buses owned by the North Olmsted Board of <br />Education in the Summer Recreation Program. Said agreement shall <br />among other things contain a provision with respect to establishing <br />bus routes acceptable to the City as well as a provision indicating <br />that the cost for school bus service associated with the Recreation <br />Program shall not exceed $9,500.00 for the 1982 Summer Recreation <br />Program. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be <br />an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and we7fare, and for the further reason <br />that it is necessary to establish the Recreation Program for the <br />Summer of 1982 at this time, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members e7ected to Council, <br />it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: -2- <br />ATTEST: <br />?_. ? , ? <br />FL RENCE CAMPBELL, CLE OF COUNCIL 4MESH.
