? <br />.? <br />, <br />CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82-63 <br />BY: DEAN McKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF PUBLIC <br />SAFETY TO DISPOSE OF SURPLUS VEHICLES OWNED BY <br />THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, due to the purchase of newer vehicles, there presently <br />are surplus vehicles owned by the City which are no longer needed <br />for municipal purposes, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the <br />Director of Public Safety to sell said surplus property. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, <br />COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION l: That the Director of Public Safety <br />is hereby authorized to sell the surplus property <br />on Exhibit "A", which is attached hereto and made a <br />in the following manner. <br />A. By auction. <br />B. By sealed bid offering to purchase, either <br />individual vehicles, or the whole lot. <br />C. By individual sales selling any particular <br />vehicle for the highest price obtainable in <br />the market. <br />be and he <br />which is listed <br />part hereof <br />The Director of Public Safety sha11, however, advertise the <br />method by which the surplus vehicles are to be disposed of, thereby <br />providing notice of the method, together with a specific date for <br />either the auction or receipt of bids. <br />SECTION 2:_ That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that it is immediately necessary to make room for new vehicles, <br />and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall take effect <br />and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />PASSED: <br />ATTEST: <br />& 7?? e.
