CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82 - 78 <br />BY: PEAN MCKAY <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING THE TRAFFIC CONTROL MAP AND FILE <br />OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED TO PROVIDE FOR THE INSTALLA- <br />TION OF "NO PARKING" SIGNS ON BRADLEY ROAD AT THE SITE <br />OF THE BARTON-BRADLEY FIELD FROM A POINT WEST OF THE <br />SERVICE GATE, WESTERLY TO THE COUNTY LINE, AND DECLARING <br />AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, because of the terrain and the location of the street, <br />at the Barton-Bradley recreation area, the parking of vehicles cannot <br />be accomplished without damaging the fence and causing severe hazard <br />because of the vehicles protruding into the right-of-way, and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to eliminate the <br />problems associated with the parking in said area, and <br />WHEREAS, Chapter 305 of the Traffic Code provides for the <br />maintenance of a Traffic Control Map and File, which said map and <br />file can be amended only by ordinance. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Police Department be and the same is hereby <br />authorized and directed to amend the Traffic Control Map and File of <br />the City of North Olmsted to indicate thereon "No Parking" signs on <br />the south side of Bradley Road from a point west of the service drive, <br />westerly to the County Line. <br />SECTION 2: That the Mayor is hereby directed to have said <br />°'No Parking signs installed in accordance with the provisions of this <br />ordinance. <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of <br />the public health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason <br />that it is immediately necessary to protect the City's fence from <br />damage and to further protect the vehicular traffic from intrusions <br />into the public right-of-way, and further provided it receives the <br />affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it <br />shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and <br />approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ?9 <br />ATTEST: <br />4?. ?
