CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />BY: Ronald Wilamosk <br />ORDINANCE N0. 82-97 <br />AN ORDINANCE APPROPRIATING AN ADDITIONAL TWENTY <br />THOUSAND DOLLARS ($20,000.00) FROM THE COMMUNITY <br />DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS FOR THE ENGINEERING <br />DESIGN, ADVERTISING AND CONSTRUCTION TO IMPROVE <br />THE PARKING AREA AND CONSTRUCT A HANDICAP RAMP <br />AT THE SENIOR CITIZENS CENTER AND TO DESIGNATE <br />HANDICAPPED PARKING AT VARIOUS CITY-OWNED <br />FACILITIES, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted desires to improve the parking <br />area and construct a handicap ramp and to designate handicapped <br />parking at various City-owned facilities, and <br />WHEREAS, It has come to the attention of this Council that an <br />additional Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) will be necessary to <br />properly implement this project, this sum in addition to the funds <br />heretofore appropriated, and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council has applied for and received <br />approval to use Community Development Block Grant Funds, and <br />WHEREAS, the State Auditor has determined that the sum of all <br />funds for a project, including Federal Funds, must be appropriated <br />by Council before certification by the Finance Director. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That this Council hereby appropriates the additional <br />sum of Twenty Thousand Dollars ($20,000) from the Community Develop- <br />ment Block Grant Funds for the engineering design and construction to <br />improve parking and construct a handicap ramp at the Senior Citizens <br />Center, and to designate handicapped parking at various City-owned <br />facilities. <br />SECTION 2: That <br />authorized <br />of Cuyahoga <br />to forward <br />County. <br />the Clerk of Council be and she is hereby <br />an attested copy of this Ordinance to the Auditor <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure necessary for the immediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety and welfare, and for the further reason that it is <br />immediately necessary to appropriate these funds and begin the project <br />during favorable weather, and further provided it receives the affirm- <br />ative vote of two-thirds of all members elected to Council, it shall <br />take effect and be in force upon its passage and apprbval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: aQ ? ?,2 <br />ATTEST: <br />lorence E.
