CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 7 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO PURCHASE A NEW <br />2020 INTERNATIONAL HV507 SALT TRUCK CHASSIS FROM <br />INTERNATIONAL, AT A COST OF $77,424.00, AND TO INCLUDE <br />INSTALLATION OF A HOOK LIFT HOIST SNOW ASSEMBLY FROM <br />CONCORD ROAD EQUIPMENT, AT A COST OF $118,820.95, AT A <br />COMBINED COST OF $196,244.95, THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE <br />PROGRAM; AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE <br />ALL CONTRACT DOCUMENTS. <br />WHEREAS, the Director of Public Service recommends that the City acquire one (1) <br />new International chassis (Salt Truck) for use within the Department of Public Service, from <br />International, and to include a "minute man" hook lift hoist snow and ice control equipment from <br />Concord Road Equipment Co., at a combined cost of $196,244.95, as established and quoted on <br />the State Purchase Program; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to purchase said <br />vehicle and road equipment through the State Purchase Program and to further authorize the <br />Mayor to execute any contract documents required for such expenditure, including a contract <br />with International and Concord Road Equipment Co. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and he is hereby authorized to purchase through the <br />State Purchase Program, which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is <br />authorized to participate in pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6, one (1) new <br />2020 International chassis (HV507 SFA), at a cost of $77,424.00, from International, together <br />with a hook lift snow and ice control equipment, at a cost of $118, 820.95, from Concord Road <br />Equipment Co., all of which is described in the specifications on file in the Service Department, <br />for total purchase price of $196,244.95. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute any contract <br />documents with vendors and, as necessary, to effectuate the State Purchase Program. Any <br />contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance consistent with the provisions of <br />this Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law. <br />PASSED: rE L f ✓<, � Z V First Reading: <br />SecondReading: <br />
