CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 104 <br />By: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OR DIRECTOR OF <br />PUBLIC SERVICE TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A <br />CONTRACT TO PURCHASE CONCRETE MATERIALS AND RELATED <br />SUPPLIES FOR THE YEAR 2021, AS DETAILED IN THE <br />SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE ENGINEER, AND <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD <br />OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST <br />AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of concrete supplies and related materials for concrete <br />repair and replacement projects on various streets and sidewalks within the City of North <br />Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the current contract expires on December 21, 2021; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor or Director of Public <br />Service to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to purchase concrete supplies and related <br />materials for replacement and related repairs on various City streets and sidewalks, as set forth in <br />specifications on file with the City Engineer, and to further authorize the Mayor, following <br />approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor or Director of Public Service is hereby authorized to <br />advertise for bids for a contract for the purchase of concrete supplies and related materials for <br />street, sewer, sidewalk and/or curbing repairs upon City streets, in accordance with the plans and <br />specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and <br />is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North <br />Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest date provided for by law. <br />PASSED: <br />First Reading: c-ISZrZ� <br />.Second Reading: 1t7 -G Zl�� <br />Third Reading: 10--2,,�-z�>ot) <br />Committee: <br />
