CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2020 - 113 <br />BY: Mayor Kennedy <br />A RESOLUTION DISPENSING WITH THE RFP PROCESS <br />AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A <br />CONTRACT WITH PIPE VISION PRODUCTS FOR THE <br />PURPOSE OF PROVIDING CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br />FOR THE CLAGUE ROAD STORMWA TER PIPE LINER AT <br />TREE LANE, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, Pipe Vision Products (PVP) is uniquely qualified to provide the required <br />storm water pipe liner construction services in a timely manner based upon its expertise in this <br />repair work, as well as knowledge of City of North Olmsted standards and procedures, and <br />proposes to supply the labor and materials based on attached quote of $62,000.00; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of Council to authorize the Mayor to dispense with the RFP <br />process outlined in Chapter 112 of the North Olmsted Codified Ordinances in order to expedite <br />an immediate contract with PVP for construction services necessary for the storm water pipe <br />liner at Clague Road near Tree Lane based on its expertise and familiarity with City <br />requirements. <br />NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOL VED B Y THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the formal RFP process required by Chapter 112 of the <br />Administrative Code is hereby dispensed with in order to immediately retain construction <br />services and repair the storm water liner on Clague Road near Tree Lane, and that the Mayor be <br />and he hereby is authorized to enter into an Agreement with Pipe Vision Products, a copy of <br />which is attached as Exhibit A, to provide construction services in connection with said project. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that this storm water work is scheduled for 2020, and further provided it receives <br />the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force <br />immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ���� C ?(-') <br />ATTE5fT. <br />CHARLES MAS, AROLO H <br />Clerk of Council <br />First Reading: ,1-2x-2-1'2 <br />Second Reading: 51s _ <br />Third Reading: -S <br />Committee: <br />NICOLE DA EY. <br />President of Cou cil ' <br />
