CITY OF NORTI1 OLMSTED <br />RESOLLTION NO. 2022 - 21 <br />RN: Manor DFllley'.Jones and ('ouncihvoman Ilenuinn <br />A RESOLUTIOA' EXTF_NDING THE TEMPORARY OUTDOOR PATIO <br />D/A/NG AREA PROGRAM UNTIL DEC—""BER 31, 202 APRIL 30, 2023, <br />A.ND DECLARING AN EMERGF.NCI', AS AMF,.NDED. <br />WHEREAS. in response to the COVID-19 crisis, it, hardship upon the local restaurant <br />industry, this Council adopted RCSOIatIUn 2020-56 to enable and encouraec City of North <br />Olmsted divine establishments to have and olTer temporary outdoor dining areas_ and <br />WHEREAS. in conjunction with said Resolution 201036, the administration published <br />euidelines for temporan outdoor dining areas. which streamlined authorisation procedums for <br />North Olmsted restaurants. while also ensuring the saletc of patrons; and <br />WHEREAS, in order to continue the prueram into 2021, an extension of Resolution <br />202036 N"ms passed via 1020-151). which extended the program expiration from December 31, <br />3020 to Man 31, 2021: and <br />WHEREAS, a further extension was approved via Resolution 211'_1-30, hN-hich c\icnded <br />the pi ogrant until October 31- 2021: and <br />WHEREAS- a further extension was approved via Resolution 2021-61, which extended <br />the program until Decembei 31. 1011: and <br />WHEREAS. a (urther extension was approved vin Resolution "_2021-87- which extended <br />the program until June 30. 2022: and <br />R'HEREAS. it is the dcsirc of this Council to again exend the program permitting <br />temporan audhorizalion of outdoor patio dinine areas Irom the current expiration date of Junc <br />30, 2022 until December' 1,-2022 April, 30, 2023, <br />AVIV, THEREFORE, RE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: that the provisions of Resolution 1020-56, including the Outdoor Patio <br />Dining Areas criteria adopted therein and which are incorporated by reference. are hcmby <br />readopted as a policy in the City of North Olmsted and extended throuuh December 31. 2022. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hcrchv declared to he an cmcrecncv measure <br />immediateh necessary for the preservation of the puhlic health. salcly and welfare and fur the <br />further reason that it will immediatch further extend Resolution 201_0-56 since the most recent <br />
