CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 -10 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br />FOR THE PARTIAL REMOVAL OF THE STEARNS ROAD NOISE <br />BARRIER, AS DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH <br />THE DIVISION OF ENGINEERING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, <br />FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO <br />CONTRACT FOR THE SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted, in connection with the residential redevelopment <br />of the Forest Elementary School parcel, is planning for the extension of right of way to Steams <br />Road, which would necessitate the partial removal of the nearby eastern wall of the Steams Road <br />noise barrier; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and <br />Community Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction <br />services for the said partial removal of the Steams Road noise harrier, in the vicinity of the <br />former Forest Elementary School, as set forth in specifications on file with the City Engineer, <br />and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a <br />contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for a contract to provide construction services for the partial <br />removal of the Stearns Road noise barrier, in accordance with the plans and specifications on <br />file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby <br />authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted <br />with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: %�' QA-U.�.��d�-� First Reading: dl') f <br />SecondReading: <br />Third Reading: -1 of <br />Committee: f A- <br />
