CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO. 2025 - 26 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE CONSTRUCTION SERVICES <br />FOR THE OLD TOWN HALL RENOVATION PROJECT, PHASE ONE, AS <br />DETAILED IN SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE AND FURTHER <br />AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, AFTER APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF <br />CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE LOWEST AND <br />BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, it has been determined by the Administration that the City of North Olmsted <br />Old Town Hall is in need of significant repairs to preserve the integrity of this historic <br />community building; and <br />WHEREAS, needed improvements include a roof replacement, tuck pointing, HVAC <br />replacement, ADA accessibility additions and water proofing of the foundation; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor diligently has pursued multiple grant funding sources to offset <br />the costs of this needed community project; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and <br />Community Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction <br />services for the Old Town Hall Renovation Project, Phase One, as set forth in specifications on <br />file, and to further authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into <br />a contract with the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development is hereby <br />authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction services for <br />Old Town Hall Renovation Project, Phase One, in accordance with plans and specifications on <br />file; and further that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and she is hereby <br />authorized to enter into such a contract and execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted <br />with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: i ird First Reading:—a-as <br />Second Reading: 1 <br />Third Reading: /��� <br />Committee: • /5&y '• <br />
