CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 - 52 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO A ONE <br />YEAR CONTRACT WITH STRYKER MEDICAL FOR THE MAINTENANCE <br />AND SERVICE OF THE FIRE DEPARTMENT'S STRYKER MEDICAL <br />EQUIPMENT FOR THE PRICE OF $24,865.60, AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted Fire Department has specialized emergency <br />medical equipment, which requires routine maintenance and repair to insure its performance; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Safety and Fire Chief that <br />this specialized maintenance and repair service be provided by Stryker pursuant to its attached <br />contract at a cost of $24,865.60; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter <br />into a one (1) year contract with Stryker to provide maintenance and repair services for said <br />medical equipment for the North Olmsted Fire Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she hereby is authorized to enter into a one-year <br />service contract with Stryker for the period April 1, 2025 through March 31, 2026, in the amount <br />of $24,865.60 in order to provide maintenance and repair services for emergency medical <br />equipment for the North Olmsted Fire Department. The contract shall be in form and substance <br />substantially similar to the attached contract, marked as Exhibit A, subject to such amendments <br />as may be required to protect and not adverse to the City's interest, as may be recommended by <br />the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and for the <br />further reason that there are time constraints placed upon the quote and the safety equipment is <br />vital to Fire Department operations, and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of two- <br />thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage <br />and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: First Reading:-0., <br />Second Reading: s <br />Third ReadinUi6 <br />Committee: g-k <br />
