CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2025 - 51 By: Mayor Jones A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF RECREATION AND PUBLIC ENGAGEMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT FOR SPRINGVALE BALLROOM STRUCTURAL MODIFICATIONS, AS DETAILED IN SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE DIVISION OF ENGINEERING, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL BY THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT FOR SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. WHEREAS, the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement recommends that the City of North Olmsted advertise for bids to enter into a contract for Springvale Ballroom Structural Modifications; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement to advertise for bids for the Springvale Ballroom Structural Modifications which includes removing temporary floor beam bracing and supports and installing permanent floor support beams and equipment, as required by law, and to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract with the lowest and best bidder for same, following Board of Control approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Recreation and Public Engagement be and he is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for Springvale Ballroom Structural Modifications in accordance with the bid specifications now on file, and that following approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to enter into a contract and execute the same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. SECTION 2: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest date provided for by law.
