CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 - 94 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOL UTION A UTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO LEASE AND FINANCE <br />THROUGH THE HOTEL MOTEL FUND THIRTEEN (13) FLOCK <br />CONDOR CAMERAS, AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO <br />EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS NECESSARY TO EFFECTUATE SUCH <br />TRANSACTION, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY, AS AMENDED. <br />WHEREAS, the City of North Olmsted Police Department in conjunction with the <br />Service Department, would like to lease, through the Hotel Motel Fund, thirteen (13) FLOCK <br />Safety Video Camera PTZ with LTE service, aka FLOCK Condor Cameras for a total of <br />$39,000; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Public Service and Police Chief <br />that the City replace twelve-(12) eleven (11) of the present traffic monitoring cameras. Six (6) <br />cameras are currently out of service and the remaining si-N five (5) are at the end of usefulness. <br />Two (2) additional cameras will be added, bringing the total to thirteen (13); and <br />WHEREAS, the Pan/Tilt/Zoom (PTZ) cameras have superior capability to the current <br />cameras as well as data retention that will be on the same platform as that used currently by the <br />Police Department. The cameras will be utilized by both the Service and Police Departments <br />and will complement the Police Department's current 23 LPR's; and <br />WHEREAS, it is accordingly the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to lease <br />thirteen (13) FLOCK Condor Cameras for the North Olmsted Police Department and Service <br />Department. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NOR TH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she is hereby authorized to lease thirteen (13) <br />FLOCK Safety Video Cameras for $39,000.00. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in <br />a form and substance consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the <br />Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to <br />ensure availability during order period; and further provided it receives the affirmative vote of <br />two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its <br />passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
