CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 -126 <br />BY: Mayor Jones, President of Council Brossard and All of Council <br />A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC <br />SERVICE OF CARRIE B. COPFER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, a strong and trustworthy public finance system is essential to the well-being, <br />stability and prosperity of the City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, Carrie B. Copfer has honorably served the public for twenty-eight (28) <br />years, elected a remarkable seven (7) times demonstrating unwavering commitment in the <br />stewardship of public resources; and <br />WHEREAS, throughout her notable tenure, Carrie B. Copfer has consistently upheld the <br />highest standards of fiscal responsibility ensuring that taxpayer funds were managed with <br />diligence and care; and <br />WHEREAS, Carrie B. Copfer has provided invaluable guidance to Council members, <br />mayors and their administrations through changing economic conditions and evolving financial <br />needs, bringing expertise and sound judgment to the role; and <br />WHEREAS, the impact of Carrie's service is evident in strengthened financial practices <br />and improved operational efficiency that will continue to benefit the City of North Olmsted for <br />years to come; and <br />WHEREAS, colleagues, leaders and community members alike recognize Carrie for her <br />steadfast commitment to the residents of the City. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. <br />SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby honors and expresses its deepest <br />appreciation to Carrie B. Copfer for these many years of exemplary public service as the Director <br />of Finance and extends heartfelt gratitude for the dedication and professionalism that have <br />defined her career. <br />SECTION 2: That this acknowledgement stands as a tribute to Carrie's enduring <br />contributions and a celebration of a job well done. <br />SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure <br />immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further <br />for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to honor <br />Carrie B. Copfer on the occasion of her final City Council meeting as North Olmsted Director of <br />Finance; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of <br />Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the <br />Mayor. <br />
