CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2025 -126 BY: Mayor Jones, President of Council Brossard and All of Council A RESOLUTION ACKNOWLEDGING THE OUTSTANDING PUBLIC SERVICE OF CARRIE B. COPFER, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. WHEREAS, a strong and trustworthy public finance system is essential to the well-being, stability and prosperity of the City of North Olmsted; and WHEREAS, Carrie B. Copfer has honorably served the public for twenty-eight (28) years, elected a remarkable seven (7) times demonstrating unwavering commitment in the stewardship of public resources; and WHEREAS, throughout her notable tenure, Carrie B. Copfer has consistently upheld the highest standards of fiscal responsibility ensuring that taxpayer funds were managed with diligence and care; and WHEREAS, Carrie B. Copfer has provided invaluable guidance to Council members, mayors and their administrations through changing economic conditions and evolving financial needs, bringing expertise and sound judgment to the role; and WHEREAS, the impact of Carrie's service is evident in strengthened financial practices and improved operational efficiency that will continue to benefit the City of North Olmsted for years to come; and WHEREAS, colleagues, leaders and community members alike recognize Carrie for her steadfast commitment to the residents of the City. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THIS CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO. SECTION 1: That the City of North Olmsted hereby honors and expresses its deepest appreciation to Carrie B. Copfer for these many years of exemplary public service as the Director of Finance and extends heartfelt gratitude for the dedication and professionalism that have defined her career. SECTION 2: That this acknowledgement stands as a tribute to Carrie's enduring contributions and a celebration of a job well done. SECTION 3: That this Resolution is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the public health, safety and welfare, and further for the reason that it is necessary that this Resolution go into effect immediately in order to honor Carrie B. Copfer on the occasion of her final City Council meeting as North Olmsted Director of Finance; and further provided that it receives the affirmative vote of two-thirds of all members of Council, it shall take effect and be in force immediately upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
