CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 —112 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION <br />OF A FIRE ALARM AND FIRE SUPPRESSION SYSTEM IN THE NORTH <br />OLMSTED POLICE DEPARTMENT THROUGH THE STATE PURCHASE <br />PROGRAM FROM S.A. COMUNALE AT A TOTAL COST OF $106,500.00, <br />AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL <br />OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO EXECUTE ALL DOCUMENTS <br />NECESSARY TO MAKE THE PURCHASE. <br />WHEREAS, there is a need to upgrade and replace the fire alarm system in the North <br />Olmsted Police Department to ensure compliance with current safety codes and standards and to <br />install a clean fire suppression system to protect components in the Police Department IT room; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, both systems are being purchased and installed by S.A. Comunale on State <br />Contract Terms for a total cost of $106,500.00; and <br />WHEREAS, the systems will enhance fire detection and occupant notification throughout <br />the facility providing a comprehensive and reliable fire alarm solution; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Mayor to enter into a contract <br />with S.A. Comunale, after Board of Control approval. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Mayor be and she hereby is authorized to purchase a fire <br />suppression system and fire alarm system upgrade from S.A. Comunale at a combined cost of <br />$106,500.00, based on and pursuant to the terms outlined by the proposals attached as Exhibit A, <br />which pricing advantages were generated and quoted through the State Purchasing Program, <br />which was established by R.C. Section 125.04, and which the City is authorized to participate in <br />pursuant to the City Charter and Resolution No. 87-6. The Mayor is hereby authorized to execute <br />any contract and/or other necessary documents required by the authorized vendor(s), the State of <br />Ohio, or the Charter. Any contract executed by the Mayor shall be in a form and substance <br />consistent with the provisions of this Resolution and be approved by the Director of Law. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
