CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 -107 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY ENGINEER TO ADVERTISE <br />FOR BIDS FOR THE AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO PROVIDE ASPHALT <br />RESURFACING AND RELATED REPAIRS UPON CITY STREETS, AS <br />DETAILED IN THE SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE CITY <br />ENGINEER, AND AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING <br />APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO CONTRACT FOR THE <br />SAME WITH THE LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER. <br />WHEREAS, the City is in need of asphalt repair services for various streets within the <br />City of North Olmsted; and <br />WHEREAS, the City will utilize such asphalt repair and resurfacing services to further <br />complete roadway rehabilitation as detailed in the annually updated comprehensive street repair <br />list; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the City Engineer to advertise for <br />bids for the award of a contract to undertake asphalt resurfacing and related repairs on various <br />City streets, as set forth in specifications on file in his office, and to further authorize the Mayor, <br />following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with the lowest and best <br />bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the City Engineer is hereby authorized to advertise for bids for a <br />contract for asphalt resurfacing and related repairs, sewer and/or curbing repairs upon City <br />streets, in accordance with the plans and specifications on file; and further that, upon approval by <br />the Board of Control, the Mayor be and is hereby authorized to enter into such a contract and <br />execute same on behalf of the City of North Olmsted with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />PASSED: ( 'Xksl� <br />First Reading: 41_ / ?- )S- <br />Second Reading: /a -.2-.2S <br />Third Reading: jZ—& -.?t- _ <br />Committee: Sta-do L i2t,rtWi ati <br />
