CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED <br />RESOLUTION NO.2025 -105 <br />By: Mayor Jones <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF ECONOMIC AND <br />COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT TO ADVERTISE FOR BIDS FOR THE <br />AWARD OF A CONTRACT TO CONSTRUCT THE SPRUCE <br />STORMWA TER WETLANDS BASIN PROJECT IN ACCORDANCE WITH <br />THE PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS ON FILE WITH THE CITY <br />ENGINEER. <br />WHEREAS, as part of the old Spruce School site redevelopment, the administration has <br />prepared plans and specifications for the creation of storm water retention project on the balance <br />of the school property; and <br />WHEREAS, the necessary specifications to competitively bid for the Spruce Stormwater <br />Wetlands Basin Project are on file with the City Engineer; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Director of Economic and Community <br />Development that this project proceed with bidding at this time; and <br />WHEREAS, it is the desire of this Council to authorize the Director of Economic and <br />Community Development to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to construct the Spruce <br />Stormwater Wetlands Basin Project, as set forth in the said specifications, and to further <br />authorize the Mayor, following approval by the Board of Control, to enter into a contract with <br />the lowest and best bidder. <br />NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF <br />NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: <br />SECTION 1: That the Director of Economic and Community Development be and he is <br />hereby authorized to advertise for bids for the award of a contract to provide construction <br />services at the former Spruce Elementary School site for the Spruce Stormwater Wetlands Basin <br />Project, as detailed in the specifications now on file, and that further, the Mayor, following <br />approval by the Board of Control is hereby authorized to execute a contract on behalf of the City <br />with the lowest and best bidder. <br />SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the <br />earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor. <br />
