CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED RESOLUTION NO.2026 - 35 BY: Mayor Jones AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO OBTAIN REQUESTS FOR PROPOSALS ("RFP'9 FROM QUALIFIED VENDORS FOR A NEW TIME, ATTENDANCE AND SCHEDULING SOFTWARE SYSTEM WITH COORDINATING EQUIPMENT AND FURTHER AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR, FOLLOWING APPROVAL OF THE BOARD OF CONTROL, TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT WITH THE COMPANY SELECTED IN THE RFP PROCESS WHEREAS, City Council previously authorized an amendment to our Tyler Technology software to purchase and implement a time, attendance and scheduling software system through the 2024 budget process; and WHEREAS, unfortunately, the software provided by our current financial management company may not meet the needs of the Police and Fire Divisions; and WHEREAS, the need to explore other software companies' platforms is necessary and would be beneficial to the City; and WHEREAS, there are a limited number of companies who may be able to provide a system that meets the needs of our nuanced scheduling procedures and are compatible with our finance system; and WHEREAS, submitted proposals from a wider array of potential partners will be reviewed, rated and chosen by a required committee for, among other matters, price, quality and system compatibility; and WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the Finance Director that the City proceed with the RFP process to determine a compatible time, attendance and scheduling software system. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF NORTH OLMSTED, COUNTY OF CUYAHOGA, AND STATE OF OHIO: SECTION 1: That the Director of Finance be and he is hereby authorized to solicit or request proposals for a compatible time, attendance and scheduling software system, in accordance with the specifications now on file in his office and that, upon approval by the Board of Control, the Mayor is hereby authorized to enter into an agreement or agreements for said software system with the most qualified vendor to provide such system at a price that is fair and reasonable to the City. SECTION 2: That this Resolution shall take effect and be in force from and after the earliest period allowed by law upon its passage and approval by the Mayor.
