Beebe <br />AP1 ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION <br />133403 OF THE CODIFIED GRDINANCES <br />OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE; OHIO, <br />PERTAINING TO AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES <br />ON CHECI:S ' AND WITHDRAVJAL SLIPS ON <br />BANK ACCOUNTS OF THE r'IUNICIPALITY <br />AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREASo existing Section 133.03 of the Codified Ordinances <br />of tdayfield Village, Ohio, requires that all checks and withcrawal <br />slips on bank accounts of the municipality be signed by the Finance <br />Director and either the Mayor or the President of Council; and <br />WHEREAS, because neither the Mayor, Finance Director, nor <br />the President of Council constitute full-time employmerit positions <br />with the nlunicigality there often exists an inability to draft checks <br />because of the absence of one or more persons necessary to sign <br />checks; and <br />WHEP.EAS, it is in the best interests of the municipality to <br />provide a more expeditious manner in drafting checks; now, therefore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Section 133.03 of the Codified Ordinances of <br />riayfield Village, Ohio; is hereby amended to read as follows: <br />(Deleted material appears like ti-i=s- and new muterial appears <br />like THIS) <br />133m03 AUTHORIZED SIGNATURES. <br />All checks and withdrawal slips on bank accounts of the <br />municipality shall be signed by EITHER the Finance Director OR <br />THE ASSISTANT FINANCE DIRECTORo and either the Mayor or the <br />President of Council, OR, IF BOTH THE MAYOR AND PRESIDEnT OF <br />COUNCIL ARE UNAVAILABLE, THEN SOMEONE DESIGNATED IN WRITING BY <br />TIIE MAYOR. ' <br />Section 2, Existing Section 133.03 of the Codified <br />Ordinances of,Mayfield Villaqe, Ohio, is hereby repealed in its <br />entirety. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberatioris of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements <br />of Section 121022 of the Ohio Revised Code.
