ORDINANCE NO. 81-7 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PETTY <br />CASH FUND FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. <br />WHEREAS, the day-to-day needs of the Service Department are <br />determined by this Council to be best served by the establishment <br />of a petty cash fund for minor purchases; and <br />WHEREAS, the requirements for accounting for a petty cash <br />fund and disbursing funds therefrom have been established by the <br />Auditor's Office of the State of Ohio; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with all requirements imposed by <br />the State of Ohio, there is hereby established a petty cash fund in <br />the Service Department in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), <br />to be disbursed, accounted for, and replaced in accordance with all <br />applicable provisions of law, in the total initial amount of One <br />Hundred Dollars ($100.00). <br />Section 2. The Finance Department of Mayfield Village is <br />authorized and directed to provide such cash to the Service Department <br />and to replenish such funds as expenditures are made in accordance <br />with procedures to be established. by the Finance Department in <br />accordance with State .requirements. <br />Section 3. This is an emergency Ordinance immediately necessary <br />for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village <br />in that it promotes necessary day-to-day activity of the Service <br />Department. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage <br />by the .affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected <br />to Council and..approval by the Mayor, or otherwise at the earliest <br />time allowed by law. <br />~~~~ ~~ <br />Alan G.
