ORDINANCE NO. 81-7 INTRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A PETTY CASH FUND FOR THE SERVICE DEPARTMENT. WHEREAS, the day-to-day needs of the Service Department are determined by this Council to be best served by the establishment of a petty cash fund for minor purchases; and WHEREAS, the requirements for accounting for a petty cash fund and disbursing funds therefrom have been established by the Auditor's Office of the State of Ohio; now, therefore BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. In accordance with all requirements imposed by the State of Ohio, there is hereby established a petty cash fund in the Service Department in the amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00), to be disbursed, accounted for, and replaced in accordance with all applicable provisions of law, in the total initial amount of One Hundred Dollars ($100.00). Section 2. The Finance Department of Mayfield Village is authorized and directed to provide such cash to the Service Department and to replenish such funds as expenditures are made in accordance with procedures to be established. by the Finance Department in accordance with State .requirements. Section 3. This is an emergency Ordinance immediately necessary for the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village in that it promotes necessary day-to-day activity of the Service Department. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the .affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to Council and..approval by the Mayor, or otherwise at the earliest time allowed by law. ~~~~ ~~ Alan G.
