ORDINANCE NO. <br />INTRODUCED BY: <br />81- 18 <br />Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE PURCHASE OF ONE (1) <br />POLICE CRUISER AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to bids advertised for and received, according <br />to law, only one (1) bid was received, which bid was in conformance <br />with the specifications upon which the bid was received; now, therefore <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth is determined to be the <br />lowest and best bidder for one (1) police cruiser in accordance with <br />the advertisement for bids, pursuant to law, in the amount of Eight <br />Thousand Six Hundred and Eighty Five Dollars ($8,685.00). <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby authorized <br />to enter into a contract with Deacon's Chrysler-Plymouth for the purchase <br />of one (1) police cruiser in the amount specified hereinabove. Said <br />contract shall be in accordance with the specifications upon which the <br />bid was received and shall be approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. This is an emergency ordinance immediately necessary <br />for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents <br />of Mayfield Village, Ohio, in that it will facilitate and promote the <br />continuation of effective law enforcement. It shall therefore take <br />effect immediately upon passage by the affirmative vote of not less than <br />five (5) members elected to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise <br />at the earliest time allowed by law. <br />Alan G.
