ORDINANCE N0. 261 <br />BY MR. S~APd SON <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PROVIDE FOR THE VOLUNTEER FIREMEIV~S <br />INSl7RANCE PREMIUIII TO BE PAID FOR O1vE YEAR OUT OF THE <br />VILLAGE FUi~iD5 o~1HEN SUCH FUNDS ARE .AVAILABLE. <br />V~HER:EAS, in order to protect the interests of the Volunteer Fire <br />Department of this Village, it is deemed for the best interests of this Village <br />to insure the members of said Volunteer Fire Department far loss from injury or <br />death incurred in the discharge of their duties as such volunteer firemen, :and <br />1'VHEREAS, the payment of the premium for such insurance is authorized <br />by la~~ to be made from the general funds of this Village. <br />NO~i~T, TIiCP~F' 'URE, BI; 1T UF.DAINED BY THE CQUNCIF.., OF THE VILLAGE OF <br />MAYFTELD, CUYAHi~Gh COUIQTY, OHIt~, that: <br />Section le It is hereby determined that the members of <br />- the Volunteer Fire Department of this Village be insured against loss by <br />injury or death by policy ~~ritten by an insurance compa~p.authorized to do <br />business in the State of Ohio upon standard form of policy :and that the first <br />year's premium under said policy be paid from the general funds of this Village <br />~rhen-in the opinion of the Village C]:.erk.and Village Treasurer funds are <br />available far such payment. <br />Section 2a This Ordinance is hereby declared to bean <br />emergency ordinance necessary for -Lhe immediate preservation of the public <br />health, safety, convenience and welfare for reasons, .apparent from the contents <br />of said Ordinance and therefore this Ordinance shal7_ take.effeet and be in <br />force from and "after its date of passage. <br />Passed the 17th day of February, 1947. <br />~~ ~_ ~P <br />Mayor - President of Caunci'.L <br />Attest:. <br />Ste,) Village Clerk <br />
