RESOLUTION N0. 86- 3 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ ING THE MAYOR AND <br />DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO EXECUTE THE <br />CONTRACT FOR PARTICIPATION BY THE <br />VILLAGE IN THE GOVERNMENT SURPLUS FOOD <br />DISTRIBUTION PROGRAM AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayar and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />are desirous of participating in the Government Surplus Food <br />Distribution Program; now, therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1- The Mayor and Director of Finance are hereby <br />authorized and directed to execute a contract for participation by the <br />Village in the Government Surplus Food Distribution Program. <br />Sect3on 2. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; anc] that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory reguirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 3. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Niayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the contract must be signed and returned to the <br />Division of Suburban Government Surplus Foods on or before February 7, <br />1986. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by the <br />affirmative vote of not less than four (4) members elected to Council <br />and approval by the Mayor or otherwis%. -,"-?the earli?est time allowed by <br />law. <br />1/20/86 Richard C'.
