RESOLUTION N0. 86- 20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Council President Richard C. Etzler <br />A RESOLUTION APPROVING THE FINAL <br />COUIVTY-WIDE 9-1-1 PLAN AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, in June, 1985 the Ohio General Assembly enacted and <br />the Governor signed Am. Sub. H.B. 491 which provides for the planning <br />and implementation of Enhanced 9-1-1 in the State of Ohio; and <br />WHEREAS, on July 1, 1985 the Board of Commissioners of <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio established the 9-1°1 Planning Committee for the <br />preparation of a county-wide 9-1-1 plan; and <br />WHEREAS, on March 24, 1986 the 9-1-1 Planning Committee <br />adopted a Final County-Wide Plan; and <br />WHEREAS, the Final 9-1-1 Plan provides for the creation of <br />an Enhanced 9-1-1 System and implementation, at a minimum, of the <br />Selective Routing feature in the County at no cost to the Cities, <br />Villages and Townships; and <br />WHEREAS, approval of the Final 9-1-1 Plan does not require <br />any municipal corporation or township to procure the equipment which <br />displays at the Public Safety Answering Point the telephone number and <br />address from which a 9-1-1 call originatesg now, therefore <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, hereby <br />approves the Final County-Wide 9-1-1 Plan for Cuyahoga County, Ohio as <br />adopted by the 9-1-1 Planning Committee. <br />Section 2, The Clerk of Council is hereby instructed to <br />transmit a copy of this Resolution within sixty (60) days of the <br />receipt of the Final 9°1-1 Plan from the 9-1-1 Planning Committee to <br />the Board of Commissioners of Cuyahoga County, Ohio and to Melvin B. <br />Mixner, II, General Manager, NlAPS Group, Board of County <br />Commissioners, 410 County P,dministration Building, 1219 Ontario <br />Street, Cleveland, Ohio 44113e <br />Secti.on 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the ac7option of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />c3eliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal actionP took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />comPliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Codem <br />Section 4 This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for <br />the reason that the approval authorized herein is necessary to
