RESOLU,TION N0. 86-22 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ ING THE <br />DIRECTOR OF FINANCE TO ENTER <br />AGREEMENT WITH THE VILLAGE 0: <br />MILLS FOR THE INTERCHANGE OF <br />FIRE PROTECTION SERVICES AND <br />AN EMERGENCY. <br />MAYOR AND <br />INTO AN <br />E GATES <br />POLICE AND <br />DECLARING <br />WHEREAS, pursuant to Section 734.04 of the Ohio Revised <br />Code, municipal corporations may contract with each other for the <br />interchange of police services or equipment; and <br />WHEREASo pursuant to Section 9.60 of the Ohio Revised Code <br />municipal corporations may contract with each other for the inter- <br />change of fire protection services, including, but not limited to, <br />ambulance and emergency medical service; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village have <br />determined that it is in the best interests of the residents of the <br />municipality to execute an agreement with the Village of Gates Mills <br />for the interchange of police and fire protection services as more <br />fully hereinafter set forth; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village have <br />approved a written agreement for the interchange of police and fire <br />protection services with the Village of Gates Mills, a copy of said <br />agreement being attached hereto and marked Exhibit "A`°; now, <br />therefore, <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section ls The Mayor and Director of Finance of Mayfield <br />Village are hereby authorized and directed to execute the agreement <br />attached hereto, marked Exhibit "A'° and incorporated herein as if <br />fully rewritten, which agreement provides for the interchange of <br />police and fire protection services as specified therein. <br />Section 2. All prior resolutions inconsistent with this <br />resolution in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to <br />avoid conflict with this resolution. <br />Section 3a That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the acloption of this <br />Resolution have'been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 4, This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />healtho safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village for
