RESOLUTION N0. 83-19 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor & Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AWARDING A CONTRACT TO <br />NEAT-LINE COMPANY, INC. IN THE <br />AMOUNT OF SIX THOUSAND EIGHT <br />HUNDRED TWENTY SIX DOLLARS AND <br />NINETY FOiJR CENTS ($6,826.94) AS <br />LOWEST AND BEST BIDDER FOR THE <br />RESTRIPING OF DESIGNATED STREETS IN <br />THE MUNICIPALITY; REJECTING ALL <br />OTHER BIDS AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. In accordance with bids received pursuant to <br />advertisement as required by law, Neat-Line Company, Inc. is hereby <br />declared to be the lowest and best bidder for the restriping of <br />designated streets in the municipality. <br />Section 2. The Mayor and Finance Director are hereby <br />authorized, empowered and directed to execute a contract with <br />Neat-Line Company, Inc, for the restriping of designated streets <br />within the municipality in accordance with the bid received in an <br />amount not to exceed Six Thousand Eight Hundred Twenty Six Dollars and <br />Ninety Four Cents ($6,826.94). Said contract shall be in a form <br />approved by the Director of Law. <br />Section 3. All other bids received are hereby rejected. <br />Section 4. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in <br />compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements <br />of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. <br />Section 5. This Resolution is hereby declared to be an <br />emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the <br />health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, <br />for the reason that the contract awarded herein will enhance the <br />safety of both pedestrian and vehicular traffic witha.n the munici- <br />pality. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon passage by <br />the affirmative vote of not less than five (5) members elected to <br />
