ORDINANCE NO, 78-3 <br />BY: COUNCIL AS A i51HOLE <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING A CONTRACT WITH THE <br />CITY OF MAYEIELD HEIGHTS RELATING TO THE <br />INSTALLATION OF A TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL IN <br />THE AREA OF 6100 RIDGES}3RY BOULEVARD. <br />BE IT ORDAINED SY TAE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Director of Finance are authorized <br />and directed to enter into a contract with the City of Mayfield Heights <br />in a form approved by the Law Director for the purpose of supervision <br />of the installation of a traffic control signal at the school crosswalk <br />in the area of 6100 Ridgebury Boulevard, part of which crosswalk lies <br />in the Village of Mayfield and part of which lies in the City of <br />Mayfield Heights. Such contract shall provide that the contract may be <br />awarded after legal bidding by the Villaqe of D4ayfield Village to the <br />lowest and best bidder and that the Village of Mayfield Village will <br />supervise the installation thereof. Said contract shall also provide <br />that the costs of installation and later maintenance of the equipment <br />shall be shared equally by the two municipalities. <br />Section 2. This is an emergency ordinance immediately <br />necessary for the preservation of the safety and welfare of the resi- <br />dents of Mayfield Village in that it provides for necessary pedestrian <br />safety devices. It shall therefore take effect immediately upon pas- <br />sage by the affirmative vote of not iess than five (5) members elected <br />to Council and approval by the Mayor or otherwise at the earliest time <br />allowed by law. <br />President of Council <br />PASSED: January 16, 1978 <br />ATTEST: <br />APPROVED: ?-?
