ORDINANCE N0. 78-6 <br />BY: Mr. Bennett <br />AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE CONFIRMING THE APPOINTMENT <br />OF AN ASSISTANT LAW DIRECTOR (PROSECUTOR) AND <br />ESTABLISHING COMPENSATION THEREFOR. <br />BY IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor's appointment of Vincent A. Feudo as <br />Assistant Law Director (Prosecutor) for Mayfield Village is hereby <br />con£irmed. <br />Section 2. Effective January l, 1978, the Assistant Law <br />Director (Prosecutor) shall be compensated at the rate of Five Hundred <br />Dollars ($500.00) per month for all services rendered to the munici- <br />pality in such capacity with the exception of actual attendance at <br />trials. While in attendance at trials in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court <br />on criminal charges brought by Mayfield Village either under its own <br />Codified Ordinances or under the Revised Code of the State of Ohio, <br />and including preliminary hearings in the Lyndhurst Municipal Court on <br />felony charges arising out of Mayfield Village, the Assistant Law <br />Director (Prosecutor) shall be compensated at the rate of Forty Dollars <br />($40.00) per hour, payable upon submission of reasonably detailed bill- <br />ings indicating the name of case, the date and nature of the proceedinq <br />and the time spent. It is understood that such services are rendered <br />by the Assistant Law Director (Prosecutor) as an independent contractor <br />and that he is not an employee of the municipality. <br />Section 3. The Assistant Law Director (Prosecutor) shall be <br />responsible directly to the Mayor and shall not be under the supervision <br />of the Law Director. <br />Section 4. This is an emergency ordinance immediately neces- <br />sary to provide for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare <br />of the residents o£ Mayfield Village in that it provides for necessary <br />governmental services.
