BOGEF <br />AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR THE EPIPLOYaENT OF AN <br />ENGINEER FOR TiiE VILLAGE OF PiAYFIELD <br />Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, Cuyahoga <br />County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. Stephen Hovancsek is hereby employed and appointed as Engineer <br />for the Village of Mayfield until December 31, 1972, such employment to be terminable <br />by either the Village or said Engineer upon 90 days written notice to the other. <br />Hocaever, all work, if same is being processed in a manner satisfactory to the <br />Village, shall be completed by the Engineer and the services therefor paid by the <br />Village, in accordance with the terms hereof. <br />Section 2. Said Stephen Hovancsek shall be compensated as follows, and <br />the Mayor and the Clerk are hereby authorized to enter into an Agreement in writing <br />with said Stephen Hovancsek whereby he will be paid on the following basis: <br />(a) If the proceedings for any improvement are completed according <br />to the usual schedule, as provided by law, so that the bids are received and a <br />contract is awarded, he shall be paid a sum equal to seventy-five percent (75%) <br />of the amount listed in Section 2(b); as the work progresses, he shall receive <br />additional compensation equal to the balance of the fee listed in Section 2(b); <br />said sum to be paid at the time the contractor's estimates, upon which his payment <br />is based, are presented for payment. Before the final estimate for the work is <br />issued, any adjustment shall then be made so that the total fee paid him shall be <br />equal to the percentages listed in Section 2(b). <br />(b) That for such services in connection caith construction of <br />public improvements, he shall receive compensation on a percentage for the actual <br />cost of construction of all improvements made by the Council and under their control. <br />The percentage paid shall be in accordance with the following schedule, based upon <br />the Minimum Fees for General Engineering Services recommended by the Ohio Society <br />of Professional Engineers in their publication, "Code of Professional Practice," <br />as revised in 1967. <br />General Engineering Projects - Schedule 1 <br />Airports and Facilities <br />Bridges and Grade Separation <br />Structures <br />' Foundations <br />Dams and Hydraulic Structures <br />Highcaays and City Streets <br />Incinerators <br />Intercepting, Relief, Storm or <br />' Sanitary Sewers <br />' Outside Electrical Installations <br />Power Plants <br />Pumping Stations <br />Railway and Bus Terminals <br />Electrical Transmission and <br />Distribution Facilities <br />Tunnels and Caissons <br />Ground or Underground Water <br />Storage Facilities <br />Waterfront and Terminal <br />Improvements <br />[dater, Sewage and Industrial <br />Treatment Plants <br />[dater Intakes and Secaage <br />Outlets <br />
