ORDINANCE N0. 71-20 <br />BY: MR. BOGER <br />AN ORDINANCE ACCEPTING THE BID OF LaTOUR OLDSrfOVILE, <br />INC. FOR THE SALE OF A POLICE AUTOPSOBILE TO THE <br />VILLAGE OF DfAYFIELD <br />WHEREAS, LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc., a responsible bidder, duly filed its <br />bid toith the Clerk-Treasurer of the Village of Mayfield, in accordance faith law, <br />offering to sell to the Village a new 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Town Sedan <br />automobile, equipped in accordance with specifications, for the sum of $3,881.00, <br />with an allowance of $600.00 for a 1968 Pontiac automobile now'ocuned by the <br />Village, and said bid is in accordance with the specifications established in <br />connection with the. notice for bids, and <br />submitted. <br />j+THEREAS, said bid of LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc. is the lowest and best bid <br />N04T, THEREFORE, Be It Ordained by the Council of the Village of Mayfield, <br />Cuyahoga County, Ohio, that: <br />Section 1. The bid of LaTour Oldsmobile, Inc. offering to sell to the <br />Village of Mayfield a new 1971 Oldsmobile Delta 88 Town Sedan automobile and <br />equipment, as described in its bid submitted in response to the advertisement for <br />bids, for the sum of $3,881.00, with an allowance of $600.00 for a 1968 Pontiac <br />automobile owned by the Village, making a net price of $3,281.00, be, and the same <br />is hereby accepted. <br />Section 2. The Alayor and Clerk-Treasurer of the Village are hereby <br />authorized and empowered to execute all such documents and do all things necessary <br />to carry out the provisions of this Ordinance. <br />Section 3. This Ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and <br />t~~elfare of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants, in order to obtain as soon <br />as possible better police protection through more efficient equipment, and said <br />Ordinance shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon the date of its <br />passage. <br />Passed this 15th day of I'ebruary, 1971. <br />~-~/~/ <br />~ / !~~~/ <br />MAYO RESIDENT OF COUNCIL <br />ATTEST: <br />(SEAL) CLE -TREASURER <br /> <br />
