Lj <br />ORDINANCE No. 860 <br />By Mr. Sloan <br />AN ORDINANCE TO PURCHASB A NEW POLICE AUTOMOBILE <br />FROM NEWMAN PONTIACs INC. . <br />WHEREAS, Newman Pontiac, Znc., a responsible bidder, duly filed its <br />bid with the Clerk of the Village of Mayfield in accordance with law, offering <br />to sell to the Dillage a new 1965 Pontiac Catalina Police Automobile with <br />certain equipment for the sun of TWO THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTEEN and <br />91/100 ($2,713.91) DOLI.ARS plus title.pharges, all being itt accordance <br />with the_speci.f ications established in connection with the Notice for Bids <br />and in accordance with the bid submitted by said Newmatt Pontiac, Inc,;.and <br />WHEREAS, said bid of Newman Pontiac, Inc, is the lowest and best <br />bid submitted. <br />NOW TEIEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CIXINCIL OF THE VILLAGE OF MAYFIEZDj <br />CUYAHOGA COUNTY, OHIOp 'FHAT: <br />Sec. 1. The bid of Newman Pontiac, Inc. offering to sell to the Village <br />of Mayfieldg a new 1965 Pontiac Catalina Police Automobile, together with <br />certain equipment described ia its bid submitted in response to the advertise- <br />ment for bids, for the sutn of $2,713,91 plus title charges be and the same is <br />hereby accepted. . <br />Sec. 2. The Mayor and Clerk of the Village are hereby authorized and <br />empowered to execute all such documents and do all things necessary to carry <br />out the provisions of this ordittance. <br />Sec. 3. This ordinance is deemed to be an emergency measure, necessary <br />for the i.mmediate preservation of the public peace, health, safety and welfare <br />of the Village of Mayfield and its inhabitants in order to obtain as soon as <br />economically possible better police protection through more efficient equipmettt <br />and the said ordinance shall go into effect and be in force immediately upon <br />the date of its passage. <br />Passed this 19th day of October, 1964. <br />Attest: Mayor - President of Council <br />ah,JJ <br />. <br />(SEAL)
