3) <br />ORDINANCE No. 870 <br />By Mr. Mason <br />,AN ORDINANCE CONSINTING TO THE MAINTINANCE AND REPAIR <br />OF CERTAIN STREETS AND ROADS.BY THE BOARD OF COUNTY_ <br />CaAMISSIONERS OF CUYAHOGA GOUNTY, OHIO, GIVING THE <br />CONSENT _ OF THE VII,7.AGE OF MAYFIET,D TO THE MAINTENANCE <br />AND REPAIR OF CERTAIN ROADS WITHIN THE VILI.AGE <br />WHEREAS, the Board of County Commissioners has tentatively approved <br />a Maintenance and Repair program for Yhe year 1965; and <br />_ WHEREAS, a number of the roads to be maintained and repaired are <br />Village Streets and also County Roads known by the following names and lying <br />betcoeen the limits designated, viz: <br />Road <br />Highland <br />47ilsott Mills <br />White <br />Lander <br />Ridgebury Blvd. <br />From <br />To <br />S.O.M. Center Road W. I,ine PYayfield Village <br />I,ander Road E. Line Mayfield pillage <br />S.O.M. Center Road W. I,ine Mayfield Village <br />S. I,itte Mayfield Village Wilson Mills Road <br />Within the limits of the Village of Mayfield; and <br />WHERFsAS, the maintenance and repair may include any or all of the <br />following operations at the discretion of the County Fsngineer. <br />1, Repairing roadway berms. <br />2. Cleaning and repairing culverts and drainage systems.. <br />3. Repairing and maintaining road surface. <br />4. Mowing weeds on berms. <br />5. Repairing and installing guard rail. <br />6. Installing and repairing road signs and warning signs. <br />7. Painting center lines and marking R.R. crossings. <br />NOW THEREFORfi BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF THE VILI.AGE OE <br />MAYFIELD, STATE OF OAIO: <br />Sec. 1. That it is declared to be of public interest that the consent <br />of the Village by and such consent is hereby given to the maintenance and <br />repair on the above mentioned highways between the termini aforesaid, by the <br />Board of County Commissioners. <br />Sec. 2. This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency ordinance <br />necessary for the immediate preservation of the public health and safety; such <br />necessity exists by reason of the fact that freezing and thawing action has <br />created hazardous conditions on these roads, in consequence whereof great <br />public inconvenience would be suffered and public travel endangered and delayed,
