PJI., <br />pursuant to legal nota.ce given to a11 counci]anen, LZayor Gustage Swanson <br />presiding. <br />Roll ca1la Presant- m Messrs Franz,HaY°dman,S7oan,ZXngloman and Cass. <br />Absent - Ltro Fleiss. <br />The Minul'ies of the regular meetinb held september 20, 1948, were <br />read to the Council. It was moved by Mrm Harclman, seconded by lb. Zingleman <br />that t-he minu`L'es be approved as reado <br />Roll Cal7.: Ayes - I42essz°s Franz,Hardman,SloanaZingleman and Cass. <br />Nays-- None. <br />Motion Carra.ed. <br />Minutes approved. <br />1Vla.yur ry,vanson asked for a x°eport frorn the cormnittee formed to <br />study the road situation on Glenva.ew and Seneca Roadso Prlr. Wa.eland reported <br />that he had seen Mr. Ostrander and had obtained a tentative fa.gure from him <br />on gradxng and. slagging at $1.00 per runninb foot. This was folloived by a <br />lengthy discussa.oz? on the problem of repairing ?these roads, and a comparison <br />of other f iguiā¢os received in the past* It was finally moved by NZr:. Za.ngleman, <br />seconded by iVtrs. Cass9 that these roads receive sufficiernt slag to make them <br />passable and to be slagged to the lot line of the exist5.ng houses on Seneca <br />and Glenview Roads. - Roll Call: A,yas- LZessrs Frariz'Hax°dmaxteSlom.n,Zzrzgleman arid Cass e <br />Nays - NOries <br />Pdotion Carr3ed <br />It was moved by Yr. Fra1z, seconded by TvTr. Hardman, that the <br />Road Cor:r?nnissioner be instructed to fi:c and repair Beechhill Road from <br />Bounyviaw Road to the pump house. <br />Roll Ca11: Ayes - Messrs Franz,Hardman,Sloau9Zingleman and Cass. <br />Nays - None, <br />rv2otion Carried, <br />Mr. 17ieland then reported that he would have the Sewer pits <br />pumped out this week and would put t he injectors in operation iaunediatel.y. <br />Dr. So-min who was present at Coun:cil, t}ien asked to have a light <br />i.nstalled on tiVilson Mills in front of Worton Boulevaxd. Dr. Sowin stated <br />that it was so dark in this nei ghborhood that residents of Worton Boulegard <br />passed their street before they were able to locate the mouth of the road.
