1 Minutes of the Special Meeting July 16, 1954 The Council met in .Special. Meeting, pursuant to due notice, on Friday, July. 16, 1951, at 8:00 P.° M. at the Village Hall, Mayor Donald .Hodgson pr-eliding. Roll Call: Present -Messrs Whiting, Beard,0atess 8c Endress Absent--Messrs-Taylor and Swanson. 1 Mayor Hodgson introduced the matter of.-the appointment of a new special policeman. Chief of-Police, Jerome Dixon, by leave of Mayor Hodgson, stated that Mr.~McMastera is at the present time unable to work nights during the creek-days. He also stated that two men were needed to properly enforce the traffic laws.. of the .Village of Mayfield. Therefore, Chief of Police Dixon recommended that William Doremus be appointed a special policeman of the Village of~Mayfield. Chief.of Police Dixon also suggested that the Police Department needed another.revolver, and_requestedauthorization to~purchase the same. Mayor Hodgson appointed Mr, William Doremus a special policeman of the Village of hayfield, It vvas moved by Mr. Beard. and seconded by Mr. Whiting that the appointment be confirmed. Roll Calls Ayes -Messrs Wh~.ting, Beard, Oatess &.Endress. Nays. -None. Motion Carried Appointment Confirmed It was moved by-~dr._.Endress and seconded by Mr. Beard that the Police Department of the Village of Mayfield be authorized to purchase one revolver. Roll Call.
