1 Minutes of the Special Meeting July 30, 195l~ The Council met in Special Meeting pursuant to due notice on Friday, July 30, 195., at 8:00 P. M. at the Village Hall, Mayor Donald Hodgson presiding. - - Roll Call: Present - Messrs Endress,Taylor,ti'Phiting,Beard & Oatess. Absent - Mr. Swanson. Mr. McKay9 by leave of PJlayor Hodgson, explained that Ordinance No. x.70 providing for the assessment of the cost of the water main designated as S.O.M. ~2, was in error by reason of the inclusion of twenty additional lineal feet onto the property now owned by Mrs. Elsie Sloan, Auditor's No. 831-37-5, which property was listed in the Village Engineer's tabulation report as 180 lineal f eet front, when the County Auditor's record for said property is actually 160 lineal feet front. Therefore, Mr. McKay deemed it necessary to enact emergency legislation to cure said error. It was moved by Mr. Vithi.ting and seconded by Mr. Taylor that prior notice of the consideration of this matter at this Special Meeting of Council be waived. .. - Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Endress,Taylor, ViThiting,Beard & Qatess. -. Nays - None. rlbtion carried Notice Waived Mr. Endress, seconded by Mr. Oatess, introduced Ordinance No. x.72 entitled: "An Emergency Ordinance Amending Ordinance No. t~70, Section 1, passed July 12, 195.", which Ordinance was read to Council. It was moved by Mr. Taylor and-seconded by ~Jtr. Beard that the rules of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. Roll Call: Ayes - Messrs Endress,Taylor,TNhiting,Beard & Oatess. Nays - None. . Motion Carried - Rules Suspended It was moved by u2r. Endress and seconded by T~4r. Whiting that Ordinance No. 472 be passed as read. Ro11 Call: Ayes - Messrs Endress,Taylor,VVhi.ting,Beard & Oatess. Nays - None• Motion Carried Ordinance Passed Mayor Hodgson asked for discussion on a reconsideration of the vote on proposed Ordinance No. 169. 1.
