Minutes of the Special Meeting <br />March 24, 1952 <br />The Council of the Village of Mayfield met at the Torn Hall in <br />special meeti~ag on the 24th day of March, 1952, at 8:00 Pa Ni®, Mayor <br />Gustav Swanson presidinga <br />Ro11,Ga11: Present - Messrs Waltz, Sloaaa,Endress, Scheuring, <br />Cass and Oatess <br />Absent - None. <br />It was moved by Dr. Waltz, seconded by Mr. Oatessa to dispense with <br />the reading .of the Minutes. of the March 17th meeting at this time. <br />Roll Call: Ayes o Messrs Waltz, Sloan, Endress, Scheuring,Cass & Oatess <br />Nays - None <br />Motion Carried <br />Mayor Swanson stated that the principal reason for the speoial meeting <br />was to consider the recommendation of the Finance Cominitt®e,.whieh is to <br />increase the salary of the Police Chief from X300.00 to X350.00 per months <br />the duties of the patrolman to be absorb®d by the Chief and the Special <br />Policeman, and the boors of the Special Policeman be increased to 125 per <br />month maximum as of April lste <br />Dr. V~raltz introduced Ordinance No. 40'L~ entitleds "An Ordinance to <br />Repeal Ordinances Nos. 362 and 375 and to Provide for the Offices and <br />Compensation of Marshall and Chief of Police and Special Policemen", which <br />Ordinance eras read to Council. <br />It was moved by Mrs. Cass, seconded by Mr. Scheuringa that the rules <br />of law requiring an Ordinance to be read on three separate occasions be suspended. <br />Roll Calls Ayes - Messrs Waltz,Sloan,Endress,Scheuring,Cass ~ Oatess. <br />N ays m None e _ <br />Motion C arrisd <br />Rules Suspended <br />It was moved by Intr.
