ORDINANCE N0. 84- 20 INTRODUCED BY: Council President Richard C. Etzler AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 147.05 OF THE CODIFIED ORDINANCES OF MAYF IELD VILLAGE, OH I0, PERTAIN- ING TO MEETINGS OF THE COMMISSION ON AGING, AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF HAYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: Section 1. Section 147.05 of the Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, is hereby amended to read as follows: (Deleted material appears like this and new material appears like THIS) Chapter 147 Commission on Aging * * ~ 147.05 Meetings. The Commission shall select meeting dates which are agreeable to a majority of all members of the Commission. The Commission shall meet no less than six (6) times per year with additional meetings as required. A quorum of €et~~-{4}THREE (3) VOTING members must be present to conduct the business of any meeting. A MAJORITY OF THE VOTING MEMBERS APPOINTED TO THE COMMISSION SHALL BE NECESSARY IN ORDER TO CARRY THE VOTE ON ANY ISSUE BEFORE THE COMMISSION. Section 2. All prior ordinances inconsistent with this ordinance in whole or in part are repealed to the extent necessary to avoid conflict with this ordinance. Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this Ordinance have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compliance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements of Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code. .Section 4 This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an emergency measure immediately necessary for the preservation of the health, safety and welfare of the residents of Mayfield Village, Ohio, for the reason that the amendments made herein are necessary to the effective operation of the Commission on Aging.
