RESOLUTION NO. 80- 16 <br />IPITRODUCED BY: Council as a Whole <br />AN rNII:RGENCY RIs'SOT,lJTION AI~ITNDING SEC7.'ION 133.03 <br />OF THE CODII~IED ORDINANCES OF n4AYE'I~LD VILLAGE <br />P.L;GARDING SIGNATURES 11lT~1'1TORI?ED AND REQUIRrD <br />I~OR hIUNICTPAI, EYPINDITUI:r,S AND T3ANICING PUNCTIOPdS . <br />WIIEREAS durinc the )u'`'' ~ '~ <br />0 3 per_ iod April l~, ]_ 9 8 0 through Jra3 y- 3 ~l , <br />1980, the Village of Mayfield will he issuing approximately $850,000 <br />in notes pursuant to the I~rovisi_ons of its Charter and Ordinances <br />and pursuant to the Ohio Rcvisecl Code for previously authorized <br />capital improvements; and <br />P711LREAS, the approva]_ of~ the Director of Law is requir~cl <br />on all ordinances and resolutions in connection therewith; and <br />WHEREAS, such approval must, according to law, be based <br />on personal knowledge of the finances of the municipality unless. <br />otherwise sP~ecifically qualified; and <br />l~;IiEREAS, a qualified opinion could result in higher interest <br />rates than would otherwise apply; now, therefore, <br />BE TT RESOLVED BY Tlil; COCINCIL 01, iL1AYI'IELD VILLAGE, OIlIO, TI-iAT: <br />Section 1. No signature required by Section 133.03 of~the <br />Codified Ordinances of Mayfield Village, Ohio, shall be affirecl to a <br />check or withdrawal slip unless specifically authorized in writing <br />by signature or initials of the Director of Law or an Assistant <br />Director of Law. No person, firm or corporation dealing with the <br />municipality shall be required to inquire into the vaiidity of such <br />signatures, the liability created herein being personal to any <br />person affixing a signature in violation of this resolution. <br />Section 2. This is an emergency resolution immediately <br />necessary for the health, welfare and safety of the residents of~~ <br />Mayfield Village in that it provides for certain necessary fiscal <br />controls.
