CONSENT .OF THE VILLAGE TO THE PLO~ZNG OF <br />SNOB AND USE OF ABRASIVES FOR ICE COI~ITROL UNDER THE SUPEH,V~TSION <br />OF THE DIRECTOR OF HIGRBuAYS;p STATE OF OHIO. <br />VGHEREAS, The Director of High~.ys is considering the matter of the <br />plowing of snovr :a.nd the placing of :abrasives for ice control, under his super- <br />vision, from :all State Highways Extensions in or through incorporated villages9 <br />in ~a.ccordanee with the previsions of Section L78-5 of the General Code of Ohio <br />:ands <br />WHEREAS, It is proposed to plow the sno~r:and place abrasives for ice can- <br />tral on;aTl State Highway Extensions within the Village of Mayfield' in accordance <br />with the standard practices of -the Ohio State Highway Department';and~ <br />~REAS9 .Such standard practices of the dhio State Hig hway Department in <br />the plowing of snow consists only of the plovring of snow from the travelled way :and <br />does not include the removal of snow from drivev~.sys, parking ~areas~,~ :and intersecting <br />roads or streets, ands <br />~I4iEREA5~ It is understood that this Ordinance does not in any way ob7~.gate <br />the State of Ohio and will. iri no maru~aer detra.et from the responsibility of the viI <br />I,age, :and said State of Ohio being saved harmless from a~ and alli_ eTaims of :air <br />nature arising from or growing out of such operations:aforesaid~ <br />NOV~r THEREF'ORE' <br />Be it ORDAINED, by the Council of the ViLtage of PJiayfield, State of Ohio: <br />SECTION l: That it is declared to be in the publics interest that the con- <br />sent of said village be, :and such consent is hereby given' that sa3.d plowing of snow <br />:and placing of abrasives far ice control may be done under the supervision of the <br />Director of Highways, ,and in :accordance with the standard practices of the Ohio De- <br />partment of Highways. <br />SECTION 2: That the Clerk be' and he hereby ise directed to furnish to <br />the Director of Highways :and ter the Board of County Commissioners of Cuyahoga <br />County, Clhio9 a Certified copy of this Ordinance immediately upon the taking effect <br />thereof . <br />SECTION 3: That this Ordinance shall take effect and be in force from <br />and .after the earliest period :allowed by Iaw. <br />Passed the l7th day of December, ~.
