CIX3NT5C <br />OHIO' THA.T: ` <br />Sec. ls Section 3 of Ordinance No. 476' as,amencled by Ordinance Noe <br />525, is hereby amend.ed to read as follows: , <br />I'Sec. 3. The Fire Departmerat is aufihorized to act and to use the <br />fire apparatus of the ViLl.age in times of emergency to safeguard 1a.fe., <br />limb, property9 arld the pub3.ic safety and hea3th. The Chief of the <br />Fi.rE Depax°tment shall be paid tYie swn of $10.00 for each £ire or <br />emergency call up tv the i'3rs'u hour thereoi. Each other officer <br />oy the fire deparicment shal"L be Paid the sum of $5.00 for eacli fire <br />or .emergency call up to the first hour 'Lhereofa Each other volunteer <br />firernan shall be paid the sum of §4.00 for each fire or emergeney call <br />up to the first hour thereo.i. The <br />Chief.of the Fire Department is authorized to employ a fireman9 <br />whose duties shall b e to remain in the fire station and anszfer <br />-Eelephones, work upon ancl maintain the fixe.equipment, and ta <br />perform incidental du°ties wi.thin the confines of the fire station.. <br />Such fireman may be removed'at any time at the pleasure of the <br />Mayor or Chief of the Fire Department and he sha71 be paid the sum <br />or $1.25 for each houx° worlced and shal1 be employed for not more <br />than 40 houa°s in ar?y one month. The Assistant Clief,shal1 act as <br />Chief os" the Fire Department in the absence os" the Chi.ef., and shall <br />receive the same compensation as the Chief woulcl receive when he is <br />so acting; at all other times the Assi stant Chie£ sha1.l be paid <br />at the same rate of compensation as other officers oi tdre Fire <br />DepartAment.
