RESOLUTION NO. 84- 6 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Carmen and Council as a Whole <br />A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZ ING THE DIRECTOR OF FINAIVCE <br />TO PAY TO THE NORTHEAST OHIO AREAWIDE COORDINATING <br />AGENCY THE SUM-OF THREE THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED SEVENTY <br />THREE DOLLARS ($3,173.00) REPRESENTING DUES FOR <br />MAYFIELD VILLAGE TO SAID ORGANIZATION FOR THE YEARS <br />1976 THROUGH AND INCLUDING 1984 AND DECLARING AN <br />EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio. <br />have previously determined that membership in the Northeast Ohio Area- <br />wide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) was not in the best interests of the <br />municipality; and <br />WHEREAS, as a result of the foregoing action the Village has <br />withheld its annual dues to NOACA for the years 1976 to the present; <br />and <br />WHEREAS, it has come to the attention of the Mayor and <br />Council that unless the NOACA dues for the aforementioned years are <br />paid in full. NOACA will not proceed with the promised improvement to <br />Wilson Mills Road from Richmond to SOM Center Roads; and <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council have now determined that, <br />based on the foregoing set of circumstances, it is advisable to pay to <br />NOACA the dues for the years 1976 through 1984, said dues totalling <br />the sum of Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy Three Dollars <br />($3,173.00); now, theref ore, <br />BE IT RESOLV ED BY THE COUNCIL OF r1AYFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THATc <br />Section l. The Council of Mayfield Village, Ohio, c3oes <br />hereby express its intention to once again become a member of the <br />Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA). <br />Section 2. Council further instructs the Director of <br />Finance to pay to NOACA the sum of Three Thousand One Hundred Seventy <br />Three Dollars ($3,173.00) representing dues for the municipality for <br />the years 1976 through and including 1984. <br />Section 3. That the Council finds and determines that all <br />formal actions of this Council relating to the adoption of this <br />Resolution have been taken at open meetings of this Council; and that <br />deliberations of this Council and of its committees, resulting in such <br />formal action, took place in meetings open to the public, in compli- <br />ance with all statutory requirements, including the requirements of <br />Section 121.22 of the Ohio Revised Code.
