ORDINANCE N0. 85-20 <br />INTRODUCED BY: Mayor Fred N. Carmen & Council as a Whole <br />AN ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR TO ENTER INTO THE <br />NECESSARY COOPERATION AGREEMENTS WITH CUYP,HOGA COUNTY <br />FOR THE REPLACEMENT OF CERTAIN CURB INLET GRATES <br />LOCATED WITHIN THE MUNICIPALITY, FURTHER AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO MARE APPLICATION TO THE CUYAHOGA COUNTY <br />BOARD OF COMMISSIONERS FOR APPROVAL TO USE COUNTY MOTOR <br />VEHICLE LICENSE TAX FUNDS TO FUND A PORTION OF THE <br />AFORESAID IMPROVEMENT A1VD DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br />WHEREAS, the Mayor and Council of Mayfield Villagep Ohio <br />have recognized the need for and proposed the improvement of a portion <br />of certain public highways within the municipality by replacing the <br />standard curb inlet grates with diagonal grates and further catch <br />basin rehabilitation, if necessary, said improvement to be completed <br />and funded in cooperation with the County of Cuyahoga and the State of <br />Ohio Department of Transportation; now, theref ore, <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE COUNCIL OF MP.YFIELD VILLAGE, OHIO, THAT: <br />Section 1. The Mayor and Council of Mayfield Village, <br />Ohio, hereby declare it to be in the public interest that the consent <br />of the municipality be and is hereby given to Cuyahoga County and the <br />State of Ohio Department of Transportation to construct certain <br />improvements on a portion of public highways located within the <br />municipality by replacing standard curb inlet grates with diagonal <br />grates and further catch basin rehabilitation, if necessary, on the <br />following roads located within the municipality: <br />Highland Road (CR-47) from the Mayfield West Corporation <br />Line to S.O.M. Center Road <br />Lander Road (CR-20) from the Mayfielci South Corporation <br />Line to Wilson Mills Road <br />Ridgebury Boulevard (CR-54) from the Mayfield West <br />Corporation Line to the Mayfield East <br />Corporation Line <br />The Mayor and Council further determine that the above-referenced <br />improvement project shall be completed in accordance with the plans, <br />specifications and cost estimates approved by the County. <br />Section 2. Mayfield Village, Ohio agrees to cooperate <br />with Cuyahoga County and the State of Ohio Department of Transporta- <br />tion as follows: <br />A. The Municipality will cooperate with the County anal <br />the Ohio Department of Transportation in the replace- <br />ment of standard curb inlet grates with diagonal grates <br />and catch basin rehabilitation if necessary in the <br />roads described above.
